…2 Spanish wines are amongst the 3 best in the world in 2015.
The World Association of Writers and Journalists of Wines and Spirits (WAWWJ) publishes a yearly ranking of International wines. To develop the 2015 ranking, more than 650,000 wines around the world were reviewed. The ranking includes 12 Spanish wines among the top 100 in the world, 2 of which reached the top 3. The wine “Selección Robles 1927 Pedro Ximénez” (Robles Winery) obtained second place, and the wine “Bioca Godello 2013” (María Teresa Núñez Vega Winery) placed third. The ranking takes into account the number of awards that the wine received in different international contests.
According to the WAWWJ, the Spanish wineries as a group are third in the world, behind the wineries of the United States and France. The Spanish winery more valued by the Association is the Emilio Lustau S.A. Winery (Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz).
